Gregory Stein, Esq.

Attorney Stein is the founder of Stein Law Group and brings a diverse set of skills to our firm. Experienced both in the courtroom as a trial lawyer and in the front office advising on business issues, he focuses his practice on Criminal and Juvenile Defense, Business and Contract Law,  Civil Litigation and Estate Planning.

Attorney Stein spent over eight years at the Allegheny County District Attorney's Office where he served as a Law Clerk and Homicide Paralegal while attending law school. He was taught trial advocacy in real-time, assisting some of the most skilled prosecutors in Allegheny County to prepare and try homicide cases. Once becoming an Assistant District Attorney, he prosecuted thousands of cases ranging from simple to complex - from misdemeanors to homicides; bench trials to jury trials. Ultimately he was promoted to handle specialized cases involving sensitive matters in the Domestic Violence and Child Abuse Units. As a result of his dedication and tenacity, he has successfully litigated countless motions and secured many favorable felony jury verdicts.

After leaving the DA's Office, Attorney Stein worked for a private company where he provided advice and counsel on numerous internal and external matters including employment issues, professional best practices, labor relations, contract negotiations, municipal law, regulatory compliance, and litigation defense. Attorney Stein also maintained a private practice performing estate planning and various business transactional services.

In 2022, Attorney Stein and his former Partner entered business together and envisioned a client-centered firm where the professionals were accessible, experienced, and prepared at every phase. Since then, Attorney Stein has assumed leadership of our new office, and continues build on our solid foundation of success four years in the making.

Attorney Stein received a B.A. in Criminology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and received his Juris Doctor from Duquesne University School of Law where he earned the CALI Award for Excellence in White Collar Criminal Law. When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife, two daughters, and their dog, Harper.
